Data Science Mentor (Remote, 3-5 days a week)

Telecommute · London, England, United Kingdom

This job spec details the Facilitator/Mentors role at Decoded in London. It’s been put together both for existing Decoded team members and for those people thinking about joining Decoded.

In the London office, the Facilitator/Mentors sits within the Product Team, alongside Product Developers. Mentors report directly into the Mentorship Manager and the Facilitators report directly into the Facilitator Manager.

These are part-time or full-time roles that require 3-5 days of commitment per week.

As a Data Programme Facilitator/Mentor at Decoded, you will work with learners, educators, programmers, designers and customer relationship teams to deliver best-in-class classroom and digital learning experiences.

Typically our Facilitators are academics, teachers, PhD students, artists, designers and developers. You may have completed a Data Science Bootcamp or you may have a formal education. Maybe you just love Googling and spend your time completing Kaggle competitions. You are not phased by the need to quickly upskill as new technology emerges, taking pleasure in breaking down complex concepts for a non-technical audience.

You will work closely with a member of the Decoded product team as well as one other mentor to ensure the Fellows are supported in their learning journey.

The typical Decoded working week is 09:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday. When we talk about working late, we mean working until 18:30 – it’s important to us that your evenings and weekends are always yours.
