Sales Development Representative - Machine Learning Startup (Freight)
Shipamax is a London-based startup that has built a data-driven platform for bulk shipping. Shipamax connects to any email inbox and can extract data from emails and attachments in real-time. The platform uses machine learning to end repetitive tasks as the data is understood and organised instantly when it reaches your inbox. In 2019 Shipamax are expanding into the Freight Forwarding market - where they are seeing customers jump at the prospect of applying our technology to automate data entry.
As a sales development representative, you will:
- Manage inbound leads as the first point of contact - rigorously qualifying opportunities
- Run outbound campaigns to reach companies who may not be familiar with Shipamax
- Run demos with small and mid-size opportunities
- Help onboard and close some of the smaller opportunities (<10k AVC)
- Along the way, you will work closely with business & product teams to provide product feedback and help accelerate growth at Shipamax.
Training for the position will involve a 4 week structured program. The program will give you an in depth overview of the product, how we do sales, and a detailed understanding of the wider industry.
What we're looking for
- You're process driven and have meticulous attention to detail
- Experience as an SDR in a technology sales team or a top consultancy with client facing experience
- The ability to understand the Shipamax API & build great relationships with highly technical customers
- The motivation & flexibility to work well in a startup environment where things change quickly - you're ready to join an early stage company and take on the extra responsibility required to drive us to success
- Superb verbal & written communication skills.
Compensation package: £24k – £30k
